A Recap of Today’s Price Action & Setups:

Before we get to new business, I want to follow up on the long we called on YouTube/Zoom yesterday with three targets. During yesterday’s RTH session, we hit two of those targets.   

Then, in Yesterday Battle Plan, I said: 

The goal here… stay long… manage your runner. ATH is the next target (HIT). Then 6500. Play perfect chess with your runner (Recently discussed in this video and covered in-depth at the Core Strategy Academy.).

Last Night’s Battle Plan

In last nights Battle Plan I said...(reference image above)

(1️⃣) (2️⃣)  We hit the 6500. A great “Take Profit” if Long from yesterday as remarked at the beginning of today’s newsletter. If you were live on Zoom this morning, you know we were mapping out shorts in that area. See Video. 

(1️⃣) Still in development. We hit the upper target of 6500. Bounced off the RTH high.

(2️⃣) Didn’t pull back enough to create an entry. I simply wanted to note.. “the bulls were certainly real”. This illustrates the power of keeping a single runner back. 

(1️⃣) Set Up. Note the wording in yesterday’s Battle Plan “slam back inside” the RTH high. 

Bounced off RTH HIGH

Now The Set Up Would Be…

You’d like to see a nice big bounce off the RTH HIGH. Then a strong move under with a laddering sequence. “slam back inside” per yesterday. Remember, it is MUCH easier for ES/MES to keep going up – it just is. 

Caution was expressed in this short entry. “small if at all” Why? Bulls control. 

So, why map it out a short if we are making higher highs and higher lows? 

Well… especially IF we arrived at 6500 – a MAJOR target –  it is POSSIBLE for a profit-taking event to happen and… who knows.. the pull back here could ignite bulls exiting their position and FOMO bears jumping in creating a delightful (much needed) pullback. 

This short idea is simply ONE trader’s opinion – mine. As a reminder, these entry ideas are mapped out 15 hours before the New York session opens. A crystal ball… I do not own. 🔮

With YM going UP and NQ going DOWN… it’s hard to go anywhere! Something has to break and we all need to be aligned – IMHO.

If we break inside yesterday’s range… and there is a hard liquidation break below this level… Just stay out-of-the-way and watch. Look for the battle plan longs further down and wait! You honestly never have to short ES/MES to be a successful futures trader – IMHO, YMMV.

One COULD take that short, IF presented… or wait for the next Battle Plan long (2️⃣) below. Why? Well, the bulls control!
