WEDNESDAY TRADE PLAN

A Recap of Today’s Price Action & Setups:

LONGS, SHORTS, OH-MY!

While Trump was speaking, I was monitoring price action closely. 

We were at Battle Plan (2️⃣) area. Yesterday, I wrote, “(2️⃣) Require the reclaim of the Strong Range and snappy FVGING ladder-back price action! Reclaim/retest of the 6827 Strong Level would be a great sign the bulls are responding.”

I took that long at 24 and locked 30-Points and 30 is what I made.  

At the apex of the move, I was up 80-points. While price was playing tug-of-war at the “2026 RTH Open 6902” and 6906 Strong Level… I remarked on Zoom, “This is the ideal take profit level, but I am holding.” 

I am a greedy bastard, what can I say?!?! I wanted a 100-pointer and gave price as much room as “reasonable”. Capturing 30-points of the 80 seemed very reasonable to me! 

SO, what did price do? Price retraced 50 points to get me out. 

I netted a 30-pointer. I know… cry me a river. No crybabies in trading. 

There’s no crying in baseball (trading)! 

QUESTION: “But George, 40 points is HALF of 80… why didn’t you capture 40 points?” Well, I didn’t like the structure at 40 points. 30-points gave me more “protection layers” so 30-points made more sense to ME, at the moment. 

Then, while at the 2026 Open Price 6902 and 6906 Strong Level, (while I was holding my 80-point winner) we mapped out a short that ran for 67-points. Our group made money both ways – not too shabby.

What a WILD DAY!

Before logging off Zoom, I said, “If ES takes the IB Low, and ladders back over the 6846 Strong Level, I will get long.”

Once again, on this entry, you had to survive a triple tap to get paid. MES ran from Strong Level to Strong Level for 20 points. Capturing half the move when counter is smart!

How about them Strong Levels today? Pretty sweet. 

AFTERNOON:

Trump drops tweet that would have given me my 100-pointer on a silver platter. (See the END of the video above.)

Talk about UGHHHHH. 

Talk about brutal timing! 

I wish I were a trader without emotion, but I wear my emotions on my sleeve. 

💡 The KEY is to recognize the rising emotions and WALK AWAY! 

Back up… and read that again, please!

Brain > Emotion. 

I traded the price action to the best of ability with reasonable logic (you saw the video!). 

AND here’s the thing…. I know this better than anyone… you can’t trade what you don’t know is coming. Execute your plan. Manage your risk. Follow your process. That is ALL you can do. 

The traders who survive long-term are the ones who can laugh at moments like this instead of letting them mess with their heads. We’ve got thousands of trading days ahead of us. This one had bad timing. The next one might have perfect timing.

That said, my emotions are “disappointed”. To be on the right side of price action and NOT get that monster move in the direction I was trading is “ughhhhhhhhhhhh”. 

I often say, “Not My Move, On My Terms.”

Phrases like this HELP me. 

Mario shared with the group this, “I recently heard a psychologist saying something I found profoundly useful. Behaviour changes chemistry. Apparently it is not the other way around. So if we behave appropriately, our brains will actually change to support the new behaviour. Just sharing it here.”

What is the “behavior” a trader should exhibit when their emotions are rising – whether they are “good” emotions or “destructive” emotions? 

You walk! That is the behavior! 

Walking is your ultimate power. This is the SPACE between IMPULSE and ACTION… as discussed yesterday in my “personal share”.

You MUST recognize the accumulation of emotions – it is a key skill! Then, you must do the right behavior to RETRAIN yourself. It is hard. It’s not easy. If it was easy, everyone would do it (My second reference to the movie “A League Of Their Own”.)

BATTLE PLAN:

Battle Plan (2️⃣) ran for 80 points during the London Session. 40 points if you captured HALF the move, which is the proper play when counter as discussed all week. Therefore, 40 is the number of points I will use on the Scoreboard below. 

Battle Plan (1️⃣) could have given you a 60-pointer as outlined on Zoom. As warned all week, when counter you need to survive a double tap! 60+ points if you did! I will count 30 points, 50% of the move, as the captured points for the Scoreboard. Your mileage may have varied on that entry.

ZOOM:

One long on the reclaim/retest of Strong Level 6846 (Battle Plan (1️⃣)). As warned all week, when counter you need to survive a double tap! 60+ points if you did!

One  short for 60+ points as outlined at the 2026 RTH Open 6902 price. It was perfect in all honesty.

Although we were NOT on zoom when the trade occurred, we outlined the IB Low long as discussed above. It ran 20 points. Capturing 10 was smart.
