I mapped out a few shorts… I know, I know… I can hear you now: “What?! What?! Whaaaat?!” Probably the most shorts I’ve mapped out in a long time.

We’re entering a zone where we’ll find out… are the bears for real, or was that two-day flush just a bluff with dulled claws?

Our green Battle Plan long had lackluster price action around that Strong Range, but it finally delivered… a clean 10-point pop on first touch.

I took two longs in this zone… one off the bottom of the range, and one near the middle. These were “early adopter” trades. The first paid me (even had a financed runner that got stopped). The second stopped out at break even. Oh well… next. At least I hit my minimum daily goal. Platform closed. Green day ensured.

First Entry (see below): Price ran 10 points, then came back on you. No one knows exactly how price will deliver… especially the day after a 100+ squeeze.

For these entries, I prefer price to have energy… a heartbeat. After 10AM, price died. The day following a 100+ point run tends to be choppy and difficult.

There are easier days to trade.

TAKE IT TWICE/THREE TIMES? One could’ve taken the same setup twice, maybe even three times. I rarely do that unless I absolutely love both the trade location and the price action. I loved the location… not the action. So I sat on my hands. I’m a bit of a snob… I want clean, touch-n-go trades. 😄

There’s another high probability trade around the corner.

Last night’s Battle Plan had trade ideas for shorts and longs in the right locations.

The 6375 short was on the money.

The outlined green long was in the right trade location… the price action just didn’t deliver cleanly.

Knowing your location is half the battle… knowing exactly where you want to engage with price.

That’s the purpose of the Battle Plan: bring calm and clarity to the chart by showing where reactions are likely and pairing that with our Core Strategy for entry. A perfect marriage.
