OVERALL:

Yesterday I asked, “Did we really break out? Will it stick?”

We got the answer last night and today. 

Yes and Yes. 

Bulls control. 

The ATH remained within an arm’s distance. 

Tomorrow will tell all! FOMC, MSFT, META, TSLA

OVERNIGHT:

Beautiful Battle Plan (2️⃣) activated as mapped. 15-20 pointer rather easily. Had you kept a single “lotto” runner at entry, you were long for the RTH move up capturing 30-40 points. 

Killer trade! How many of those do you need a week?

ES EMINI Long Setup

Battle Plan (1️⃣) short also activated. But, for either a break-even or 5 points max if you followed at 50%, since it was counter. 

MES MICROS SHORT SETUP

Battle Plan (4️⃣) from Sunday… depending on your account, you could still be LONG or you captured a 100 pointer! Either way is great!

Best ES Setup This Week

The overnight sessions have been serving up all the prime entries this week!

RTH:

Either… 1) You were letting your runner do the tedious work. or 2) you waited hours for a Core Strategy entry to develop. 

Typically, the afternoon BEFORE FOMC offers very little. Throw in mixed indices and a 1.7 to 2.1 ATR on the 3M chart, and you’ve got conditions that just aren’t worth trading. IMHO. YMMV. 

TIP OF THE DAY

There’s nothing wrong with taking the gift of breakeven… especially when price isn’t behaving the way you expected. Get out. Refresh. Map out your next entry. 

On Zoom and YouTube we discussed the strict discipline of taking the gift of break even when counter! 

TRADE OF THE DAY

BATTLE PLAN:

Battle Plan (2️⃣) for 20-40 points. 

Battle Plan (4️⃣) from Sunday… 100-Pointer (if you could have held over night – not all accounts can). OR… move you stop 5-10 points under todays RTH low if playing “Perfect Chess”. 

ZOOM:

The entire time we were on Zoom, I said, “Bulls control. Shorts are counter. Small if at all.” Probably 23 times.

We mapped nothing. Absolutely nothing.

ONCE AGAIN, the trade was to be ALREADY LONG from last night’s Battle Plan… and hold a runner.

That said, I kept us focused on being “on the right side” of price action.
