Two days of balance (video discussion) ENDED with a classic “Trap The Trader” move last night and beautiful follow-through today. 

Last night’s price action fell right into our Battle Plan playbook… as evidenced by multiple entries triggered last night with excellent follow-through today.

The setup happened last night; the follow-through today. 

Behold, the power of holding a paid-for “lotto” runner.

It was beautiful to see. 

We craft our Battle Plan system for this type of “Trap The Trader” move! It is my favorite.

Sunday Opening:

What an opening!

Down 50 points. 

Trapped shorts. 

Reversed.

Back up 70-points, activating THREE winning Battle Plan trade ideas along the way. 

Battle Plans (2️⃣) (3️⃣) and (4️⃣) all activated for great entries with little to no drawdown.

Pretty straightforward mapping that could have led you to capture 50+ points runner per yesterday’s Battle Plan. 

Of course, no one is recommending you trade Sunday night. You do you. There will be PLENTY of other trading opportunities this week. 

ES EMINI Trade Plan Setups

If you took Battle Plan (3️⃣) or (4️⃣) and held a financed “lotto” runner, you could have easily carried that position into the RTH session for a guaranteed 50+ points… with the “lotto”  runner up 90 points at today’s peak.

ADD ON??? Had you took Battle Plan (3️⃣) or (4️⃣), you could have added to your winning trade at Battle Plan (2️⃣) as you were up nearly 20 points already… OR … you could have waited til price recaptured the next strong range (as mapped in Battle Plan (2️⃣)) around 6935 as you were up 30 points. See the chart above.

Of course, after such an aggressive gap down, adding to a long might have been mentally challenging. This is one reason I recommend waiting until you are up 20+ points BEFORE entertaining an add-on. You do you!

SIDE NOTE I: What were we NOT looking for on last night’s gap down? A short! We were laser-focused on the right trades in the right locations… which is the entire point of the Battle Plan.

SIDE NOTE II: Be sure to read “the notes” on EACH Battle Plan trade idea. For example: Battle Plan (5️⃣) short REQUIRED a bounce FIRST. Second, Battle Plan (1️⃣) short was null-and-void if any of the other trades developed first. Once again, read the notes.

RTH: 

The follow-through was tremendous. VERY little opportunity during RTH. The hard work had to be done last night… getting that long entry and then letting your runner do the tedious work all day.

TIP OF THE DAY

When counter, be sure to take 50% of the move. 

The corollary is to keep a runner, JUST IN CASE!

TRADE OF THE DAY

BATTLE PLAN:

Battle Plan (4️⃣) (3️⃣). All paid. Paid handsomely. At the time of this writing, up 90-points! I will count it as a 50-pointer for the scoreboard for now – will adjust accordingly.

Battle Plan (2️⃣) for 9 points. 

We discussed on Zoom that the perfect “Take Profit” would be right around the 7000 Strong Level and daily trend-line back-test as mentioned in this video (watch for 7 seconds).

A paid for financed runner was easily a 50+ point runner!

Congrats to the traders who took a long today. Congrats Daron on your 50+ point runner. Holding runners pay!

ZOOM:

The entire time we were on Zoom, I said, “Bulls control. Shorts are counter. Small if at all.” Probably 26 times.

We mapped nothing. Absolutely nothing. The trade was to be ALREADY LONG from last night’s Battle Plan—and hold a runner.

Not long? Oh well. There’s another high-probability trade around the corner. Mondays usually stink anyway!
