A Recap of Today’s Price Action & Setups:

Overall

NFP… no need to trade today.

If you did NOT watch the AM Briefing, I recommend it. We talked range rules which dominated today’s trading.

RTH started with a beautiful bounce off the Strong Level for 80 points for the aggressive. See the image below.

Several traders crushed early shorts with excellent discussions on adding to winning trades, stop management, … wonderful session this AM.

MES Micros Short Setup

Although we’re at the top of the range, you don’t have to short when bulls control!

I waited for Battle Plan (1️⃣)

Battle Plan (1️⃣)

Battle Plan (1️⃣) was 85-points away from the bounce above.

I told the group, I will only trade if we get to Battle Plan (1️⃣)… or (3️⃣).

85-points seemed a long way away!

When ES vomits, that distance closes quickly!

It took 1 hour.

As we dipped our toe under the 6936 Strong Range, I was telling the remaining shorts to move their stops just above the 6936 Strong Range.

Why????

We were entering the bottom of the range where it is better to look for LONGS than SHORTS. They had the perfect Take Profit!

We were entering Battle Plan (1️⃣) Long zone!

We got within 5 points of my target zone. See the green box in the chart below.

ES laddered right off the Strong Range with a 15-point candle north.

I wanted the deeper move!

Oh well!

Next.

To say the least, I was a little disappointed.

Sometimes, discipline stinks.

Methodology

Video: How To Trade The Battle Plan

Each evening, I scan the ES chart and ask one primary question:

Where are the bulls and bears positioned?

"Great bears know where the bulls are.
Great bulls know where the bears are."

The arrows you see highlight those pressure points...zones where reactions in price are most likely.

Careful consideration is given to trend, range structure, liquidity pools, and our Strong Levels — a custom TradingView indicator available to paid Battle Plan or full Micros Trader members.

Most arrows lean toward the buy side. That's no coincidence as the ES is a long-biased instrument over time.

How you choose to trade these zones is entirely up to you:

Entry:

Our Core Strategy: Low-time frame bounce levels.
Level Reclaim: Market order with proper stop loss under low.
Your own preferred method: Just use the arrows as a price map and trade on your own confirmation.
Paper Trade til confident.
Set Alerts on TradingView as ES/MES trades 23 hours a day. Entries may occur at any time.
