A Recap of Today’s Price Action & Setups:

Last night I wrote, “Tomorrow is a GREAT DAY to go golfing, bowling, clean out the garage, go shopping for Christmas gifts, work on your Trade Plan, …” That turned out to be very true!

Today was Contract Rollover Day. The H March contract is the contract we are trading.

If you are using our Journaling Software, mark today as a SPECIAL DAY and take notes!

Honestly, today is a no-trade day, historically speaking.

The setups you trust don’t behave the same way during rollover. Price action gets wild  and nearly unpredictably, and your reliable patterns don’t work exactly the same.

Bigger swings make it more challenging.

This is exactly why experienced traders often step aside during rollover week. It’s not about missing opportunity… it’s about recognizing when the game has temporarily changed rules on you.

When the market doesn’t look right, don’t force it. There’s always another trading day when conditions return to normal.

AM SESSION: Battle Plan trade ideas (1️⃣) and (2️⃣) were already well-traveled territory by the open. When setups get worked over that thoroughly, they lose their edge. We needed fresh ideas SO we simply traded the price action as it unfolded.

At the open, I was watching for price to take out the 6847 Strong Level low. We got a beautiful initial long off that level, followed by a 10-point short later in the AM, then caught two more longs during the AM session.

Solid PNL day, but the market lacked follow-through.

Big ‘Go Nowhere’ candles dominated the action.

Watch the Entire Stream Session

Result: Easier days to trade.

PM SESSION: I noted in Discord that my eyes were on Battle Plan (3️⃣) (4️⃣) below. I wrote, ‘Default Now: Wait for Battle Plan trade ideas only.’ I’d already secured two 10-pointers, so for me to trade again, it would need to be a juicy fat-pitch setup.

Super nice Strong Level play this afternoon.

ES Emini Trade Of The DayTIP OF THE DAY

If you’re not actively ready to enter an order on a pre-defined trade, close your platform. When you’re waiting for your next setup and the chart feels “boring,” the temptation to force a C or D-level trade becomes almost irresistible. Most often, this leads to regret.

Don’t rely on willpower alone… make it harder on yourself. Close the platform.

The best trades come to those who wait with discipline, not to those who stare at screens hunting for action.

BATTLE PLAN:

NADA

ZOOM:

We called several longs and shorts today. Each with a 10-point “take profit” and each with a “runner”, just in case.

CORE STRATEGY: For our Core Strategy Traders

Three 15-Point Candles with 10 ATR on Contract Rollover Day = No Trading!

If you were trading, there was a 3M FS long against a Strong Level that ran 40+ points! There was a 3M FS short that ran 25 points.

Video: How To Trade The Battle Plan

Each evening, I scan the ES chart and ask one primary question:

Where are the bulls and bears positioned?

"Great bears know where the bulls are.
Great bulls know where the bears are."

The arrows you see highlight those pressure points...zones where reactions in price are most likely.

Careful consideration is given to trend, range structure, liquidity pools, and our Strong Levels — a custom TradingView indicator available to paid Battle Plan or full Micros Trader members.

Most arrows lean toward the buy side. That's no coincidence as the ES is a long-biased instrument over time.

How you choose to trade these zones is entirely up to you:

Entry:

  • Our Core Strategy: Low-time frame bounce levels.
  • Level Reclaim: Market order with proper stop loss under low.
  • Your own preferred method: Just use the arrows as a price map and trade on your own confirmation.
  • Paper Trade til confident.
  • Set Alerts on TradingView as ES/MES trades 23 hours a day. Entries may occur at any time.

Instrument:

  • Futures — My primary instrument as our group trades ES/MES futures as scalps and multi-day holds.
  • Option spreads

Nothing on this page is a trade recommendation.
I am not a financial advisor.
