How To Trade The Battle Plan & Strong Levels

✏️ Transcript
00:01
All right, guys, we’re going to do an un traditional AM briefing today. Um, not going to go through everything, but you know, the tip of the day is kind of our, what we’ve said all week is you don’t know which trade is gonna go, go, go. You just don’t know. Okay. And, um, if you’re new, your only thing is to worry about perfect entry in my opinion. Uh,

00:31
And don’t worry about if you catch the big moves or not. That is not the purpose when you are learning to trade. We want to be able to see the price action accurately, be entering longs when we should be looking for longs, uh, trading shorts when we should be looking for shorts, or you might even make the decision, you know what? Yes. As an upward moving instrument, I have no interest in shorts. And I think you’ll probably be better for that, but you do you.

01:00
So yesterday, uh, well, Wednesday, let’s back up a day Wednesday here. I went long here and ladder it up all night. Beautiful. And then I, let me turn on the strong levels and then I wanted to make sure I captured 50 points of this move. Okay. We hit this strong level here and had a really big pullback to hear how to bounce. went, you know what? I think I want to lock my 50 points on this. I had a hundred pointer earlier in the week.

01:28
And, um, I wasn’t willing to give this one back. So I made sure I took my 50 points. And of course I’m glad I did. It went all the way back to my entry and further. This is a note about the trend line. So yesterday you were with us on YouTube or. And or zoom, of course. um

01:49
we had this trend line on here we drew. I’m not gonna go back and draw it again, but what I want you to notice, and you see this a lot with really well drawn trend lines, it bounces, it gets through and it back tests those trend lines. So that happens a lot more often than you think they do. So it’s a good reason to have some strategically placed trend lines on your chart.

02:15
And then I just want to point out how beautiful these strong levels play. These are levels I draw out Sunday night that I think are going to be the most important levels going through the week. gives us, it allows us to craft our entries, exits, and map out possible trades. So just beautiful here. You could have taken this short, you could have taken this short. You know, if you’re really wanting to play that.

02:40
I’m obviously bouncing well here in this strong range back testing the bottom back testing the bottom back testing the bottom. And then the overnight opened up. So I did something I rarely ever do. And this is why we’re doing a different AM briefing. I woke up at midnight and I traded the next so many hours. Um, and what I decided to do is as, I went on zoom, but I wanted to talk out loud. Everything is I will be making a post.

03:10
I don’t normally do a Friday afternoon battle plan post, but I’m going to do that because I want this to be up for all weekend. And basically I titled this how to trade the battle plan and the strong levels. I’m like, maybe this is going to be my working document for people who join the group or want to become just a battle plan, strong levels member. How do we trade this? And so we’re going to walk through it.

03:39
In all honesty, I wasn’t gonna do that, but let’s go ahead and walk through it. um Let me slide this over here. And um I need to turn on the battle plan.

03:56
And so let’s just come here. So I’m just going to go through it. If you want to listen, great. If you don’t, no big deal. Um, this will be valuable for people who come back later. So I woke up at midnight to let my dog out. did. My wife and I literally went to bed at seven o’clock last night. I’m not kidding you seven o’clock. And I knew whenever I’ve woke up, I needed to take my dog out. So I got up at midnight and looked at the price action and noticed that, my stop got taken out from, uh,

04:26
Um, yesterday’s long that I did there. Um, I went long here. I went long here. Um, I had two contracts. I took one off somewhere in here, kept a runner back here. I didn’t feel like I wanted to put it in the negative position, so it got me out. And, uh, so I noticed that and I went, okay. So naturally I pulled up the chart to see where the next battle plan trade was setting up. It turned out to be battle plan trade number two. So.

04:54
Midnight was somewhere in here. It got, it took me out somewhere in here. Um, midnight, my time, one o’clock this chart time. So my eyeballs go to battle plan trade number two. Actually, I don’t need to switch back to the chart. I took screenshots along the way. And in fact, if you click the screenshot up here in the upper left has the timestamp when that screenshot was taken. So you’ll know this was live as I was doing it. Um, and.

05:23
The key question is, will it bounce off the strong level right here? The apex of the mapping. So on this mapping here, this is the apex. This is where I think it’s going to do the initial bounce. And this is where I’d be more interested in getting into the trade. So key question, will it bounce off the strong level? The apex of the mapping and that’s a keyword and the ladder back up. That’s what I’m thinking. Okay. I want to see this thing get back up over this level.

05:53
come here and that’s the more beautiful long exactly as was mapped out. So I had two apexes here and this is where I was expecting price to go. For an initial bounce, OK, it took out our TH low. This looks beautiful. Trapped the trader long right? um For that to happen, price needs to first reclaim the Sunday opening that Sunday opening is key. That’s what we bounced off of in the RTH session. Grandpa Roger, thanks for pointing that out.

06:23
Um, exactly as outlined in last night’s battle plan sequence. So the riskiest entry would be taking this entry. Okay. Um, so be cautious, keep a small paper cut stop just a few points away. If you take this trade near the apex of the mapping, treat it purely as a test entry, small size, small stop. Okay. If you decide you want to take that, that is what you do. Small size, small stop.

06:53
Note, the mapping provided in each battle plan shows where I believe price will bounce, where it’s most likely to bounce. Let me repeat, taking entries at the apex of the mapping is the riskiest approach. If you stick around long enough, you’ll see that this entry um often offers high probability, but high risk opportunities. Therefore, the rule is simple, small size, small stop. The safer trade is to wait for laddering. So let’s go back up, wait for the laddering. That’s the laddering, right?

07:23
If you take the apex entry that’s along at that 6620 strong level, then price reclaims the Sunday opening at the 6632, you can consider adding to your position or wait for stronger confirmation for us to get above the bull bear line. Here’s the bull bear line. This is battle plan trade number one. Does that make sense now? So if you got long at number two, where’s the perfect ad battle plan trade number one, that’s the perfect ad.

07:52
Um, I did take an entry. took that apex entry. Right here. Um, I frant ran it by one point. Okay. Let me read what I wrote. I frant ran the 6620 strong level by one point entering long at 6621 with a tight three point stop loss. Small size, small stop. A precision controlled entry. The kind that keeps risk small. See the chart below. So I screenshotted my, my Dom.

08:20
Sorry, this is my editing software that I developed for my battle plan. Um, I do not like creating these in WordPress, so I have my own little whatever. Okay. Shows my Dom there. You’ll see where I got long. Price did indeed bounce and bounce nicely. I was up 10 points. Um, and price is challenging the Sunday opening. Can it break above it? Or is it going to bounce back down? So at this stage.

08:50
Um, you can’t let this become a losing trade. You’re up 10 points. You’ve got a few smart options. Take your 10 points and call it done. Take the day off. Take tomorrow off. You’re up at midnight, one o’clock and you take that trade. Uh, you make 10 points. Opex variety. should probably done to move your stock to capture 50 % of the move. That’s smart because you are counter. Why are we counter? We’re under the bull bear line that I put on the strong levels.

09:20
We’re obviously the laddering down as well. Um, so that longest counter, um, might even call it knife catching, but it’s knife catching at a very specific exacting location, not a hunch. Three, move your stop to break even hoping you are in the big move. I’m hoping I’m in the big move. I’m hoping battle plan trade too is the one that touches this level gets back above and go, go, goes what’s happening right now. That’s what I want.

09:49
So I was willing to do that. I went with option three. I’m a greedy bastard. um I moved my stop to break even hoping for the big move. How did that work out for me? Well, price took my stop. Welcome to trading. It was a great entry with a tight stop. At one point I was up 10 points. I was very pleased with the battle plan mapping. Yes. Cause when I do a journal, I grade my battle plan mapping and um

10:17
Good grade on the trade execution, A plus on mapping and execution. um This was an easy trade to journal. Absolutely battle plan trade. I took the Apex, small size, small stop, easy trade to journal and you should be journaling. I believe if you look for the right trades in the right trade locations, often enough, you will do very well. We prove that every week. Wait for those trade locations. If you get the laddering that you want, participate.

10:46
If you take the apex, small size, small stop.

10:51
What do you what do you do after the stop? So I got stopped out. It kind of sucks. I was up 10 points. That’s kind of nice. But what do you do? Well, like Tom Hanks said in the League of their own, there’s no crying in baseball. There’s no crying in baseball. Sounds nothing like him. So first, no crying. Take a breath. Get over to move on. Another high probability setup is just around the corner. Stay disciplined. Stay ready.

11:20
A monster squeeze is getting close. Not too bad for writing at one in the morning, but this was kept me awake. Um, so what do you do to answer the question? What do do after this stop? Well, if Rubin is racing, boy, I love the movie quotes this week, um, from days of thunder, then waiting is trading. It’s the mark of a true professional who knows patience is the real edge. Patience is the real edge.

11:49
So if you. So you wait for battle plan number two to ladder back above the Sunday opening. So we got down into here. So what’s my option? Well, number one, I’m looking for the next battle plan trade, but I’m also, you never know. This thing could pop here. It could bounce here and I go, okay, okay. And then it bounces here and there’s your ladder back long. Okay. It went a little deeper than my mapping. Sorry, not perfect. Um, uh, we don’t know exactly what price is going to do, but we do really well at.

12:19
and mapping that out and knowing where we want to engage in price. So you wait for Battle Plan Trade 2 to ladder back above the Sunday opening or reclaim the 6620 strong level for a more aggressive entry. So if this thing did pop back above, this would be an aggressive entry. This would be the same thing, small size, small stop. This would be the more logical entry that would give you laddering and more confidence to make that trade. Battle Plan Trade 3 is my

12:47
Preferred trade anyway, it’s green. So here’s battle plan trade number three. This arrow was also part of last night’s um battle plan. I said, if we lose this, we’re probably coming here. We went a little deeper, but once again, we don’t really know what price is going to do. All we can do is follow price and try to trade it. When we squeeze and we will, I’ve got a hundred to 200 pointer on my hands. I hope.

13:14
Um, keep my powder dry and wait, like my mama used to tell me, hold your horses and she did hold hold. So then we had the London opening. Um, I couldn’t go back to bed with the London opening. That’s exactly what I said to myself, boy, am I going to pay for this in the morning right now? I’m energized. I think cause the trade’s so nice, but, um, so here’s the chart right now.

13:41
What happens at the strong range? So we’re right here, which was right here. Um, I do expect an initial bounce, but that’s not part of my trade plan there. I want lower and then reclaim the strong range. So let’s go back and look at that. So I really wanted it to push lower, get back above the strong range and give us a trade here. Okay. Boy, that was really close. It would just went a little further down, right? But then it did get back above and.

14:10
give us that laddering sequence. Once again, I don’t know how far price is gonna go. We can just trade the levels as they develop. So here is battle plan trade number three at this exact moment, screenshot it at timestamp at the top. Indeed a small bounce. So you can see the small bounce here um and look at price ping pong between the strong level, which is really nice. mean, these things just performed so well. um

14:38
All right. Indeed, just a small bounce. I’m not trading that, but it’s nice to see it confirms that the level was drawn accurately. That’s really important. So price is coming to that strong level. It bounces. go in my brain. Okay, cool. You drew that well. Good job. Um, this confirms that I could use that as a laddering point. Sorry, this is once again, uh, come on, uh, for reentry. And, um, so it’s confirming that this is a good level.

15:08
for reentry or an add on later in case I got long further down the chart. We get back above that. That could be a great add on. So by seeing that small bounce, it confirms that to me. Um, once again, this is my editing software. So if I scroll over this, my little, uh, tool that helps me like I need to put a comma after, oh, cool. All right. Get down there. Yes. This is real time timestamps. Don’t lie. Oh, my body is going to pay for this. Yes.

15:38
I’m sure I will. So a little bounce off the strong level and then we get underneath it, which is right here. Okay. If, and this is a big if battle plan trade three is the turnaround short squeeze. Great. If not, we’ll wait for battle plan four and five. So as price continues to move, I just move my eyes to the next battle plan and I say, okay, what would it take for me to get long?

16:05
with the battle plan that was a little higher up. We just discussed that. That we get down into here and if price does this, that’s our long.

16:18
All right, made it. Can we reclaim the strong level for the mapping? Not yet. Stand down. There’s no trade yet. No trade here. um Now we wait for reclaim or battle plan trade number four. Move your eyeballs further down. See the chart below. At this point, this is really important. How happy were you that you took either the 10-pointer or you took half the move or you took break even on this trade here? You just don’t let a

16:46
trade go from green to red in my humble opinion either bounces and goes or it doesn’t. So at this point, how happy are you at this point? How happy are you? You, you’d either took your 10 pointer. You took half the distance or you took break even. You’re very happy. You’re very, very, very happy. All right. Now let’s take a look at battle plan three and four. This is kind of where they’re setting on the chart. Um, I don’t know how far price is going to go. I can just judge and these strong levels help us judge.

17:15
What is happening and what would help me get long or whatever? Um, we wait nothing to do, but wait, let’s keep going down to battle plan four and five. The bigger the move, the bigger the squeeze. Um, you never have to be the first one long. There’s plenty of meat on the bone on the second and third ladders. Okay. You don’t have to be long here. Okay. Those are fun. oh

17:43
but you don’t have to be long. There’s plenty of meat on the bone, second, third ladders. Patience often pays better than being early. How many times do you enter too early and it hurts you?

17:55
Yeah, we’d love to be long here. Are you kidding me? But being long here is just as good. Being long here is just as good. We’ll talk about that in a minute. My thoughts here. I’m literally talking to you as if we were on zoom, this strong level.

18:14
Is being strong and it is part of battle plan trade number four. It is part of battle plan trade number four. So I’m like, OK, let’s watch to see what happens. This might be the bottom. Waiting for the strong reclaim of the the strong level. I’m looking for a powerful let me change that word.

18:38
a powerful reclaim of the strong level of this. And actually not the strong level. I’m looking for the strong range. Sorry. Let me edit.

18:48
I’m coupled with a with a core strategy bounce level. I know if you’re not a full member, you don’t know what our core strategy bounce levels are, but that’s what I’m looking for. Most of the people reading this is a full member. Here is the mapping I envisioned. Once again, look at the timestamp if needed. So when we were here at this exact moment in time.

19:09
I mapped out, um, this entry. This was the mapping I wanted right here, right here. I went, okay, that’s what I’m looking for. I want to see this thing ladder. I want to see us get over that strong level. Um, and, or the strong range. Well, first we got to get over the strong level, right? Um, then it can get over the strong range and looking for that laddering. Okay. Update. Got it.

19:40
Um, am long strong level re claim. So, um, it got up over this strong level right here. Closed two candles completely above it. I think that’s important.

19:57
Core strategy level, if you’re a full member, you see it. And I considered this the second ladder. So I would look at this and go, okay, well, there was a definite break level down here, right? You could count that as a bounce if you wanted, but this little blue candle here, I’m gonna count that as a bounce. So one, two, and what are we doing? We’re leaving behind these series of fair value gaps and laddering beyond it. So there’s even more going on that we talk about when we’re live on Zoom.

20:28
I love how we took the low by a tick or two right here and then laddered back with the vengeance, leaving a string of fair value gaps and laddering. Now I can enter with some assurance. Now I’ll go, okay, you got to get long now. And I used my mapping there as my tool to get long. And I did go long exactly right here. I exactly right here. And I did it with four contracts.

20:57
And when price bounced up like that, I spread them out. Okay. Cause I want it. Cause like I said here, um, where’d I say that stops are in place, ensuring a green trade, which is nice. So green trades a hundred percent. No problem. Now back to bed. And I did go to bed time to let price do its thing. Squeeze, baby squeeze. Yep. And then at nine 59, I. uh

21:25
I usually get up at five with my wife, but I was like, I’m staying in bed. She wakes me up before we do our Bible study. Um, so at five 59, dang, I slept hard and I did. I’m very pleased with the follow through. There is nothing to do, but hold a runner. Now there’s nothing to do, but hold a runner. moved one stop to 50 % and, um, one stop at my entry. So let’s take a peek at that.

21:54
So right now I’m long two micros and right now it’s like $700 or something. So 350 is half of that. That’s where I need to have my stops. I’m gonna move one stop at the 350 and I’m gonna remove it here.

22:13
Let me see if I can adjust this.

22:20
So yeah, nothing to do now. Uh, where’s that stop? It’s at 66 20. I’m going to mark this here. Oh, it’s right there. that 66 20? That’s funny. I might actually move that a little further back or you know what? I’ll use this strong level. I can move it up even a little bit more. I’ll decide that later. Um, there’s nothing to do but the waiting. You can only mess it up now in my humble opinion.

22:50
So we got the squeeze baby squeeze. That’s what we’re looking for. Okay. You could be short on those shorts if you wanted, but I would much prefer to be long on the squeeze. That’s just me. Your mileage may vary. And then you get that little monster move there and you’re like, yep, it’s over. I’m in the right trade. All I to do now is do nothing.

23:14
Let’s talk about strong levels again, cause I think it’s important. Every Sunday I publish these strong levels. These are the lines you see here. That’s included in your membership. That’s what I think are the most important levels. I spend Sunday, not all day Sunday, but I spend Sunday crafting where I think they should be. These are the most important levels for the week. In my humble opinion, that’s just what I think. You can delete them. You don’t even need them. If you, if you’re a member and you don’t use the strong levels, tell me and I’ll delete it. So you don’t even have to look at it.

23:43
You, you go on your own, but if you want what I think are the most important levels, having that indicator is good. Um, some people like to pretend they don’t have that on their chart for some reason. It’s all whatever. Um, it is a trading view indicator, so it is trading view. Okay. I had a guy join this week that did not have a trading view. had to get a free account. And if you’re listening to this, I’m still waiting for your, uh, trading view username so I can add you.

24:11
to the strong levels. It’s including your membership, even traders on the seven day trial get it. So it’s one of the things that changed here recently. So if you’re on the seven day trial and you want these levels on your chart, please send me a private message. Okay, I sent you a private message when you joined. There’s a private message tab at the top. All right, so we use these strong levels to help craft our entries and exits when we’re live trading together. You’ll often hear me out and say, okay guys, if you’re long,

24:39
You know, unless they were long and come to this area, I’ll say this is a great area to TP some contracts. Part of that is session levels and profile levels, but a lot of times it’s the strong levels.

24:54
Um

24:58
And this was the strong levels yesterday. I thought I grabbed a box strong levels yesterday, but as this thing was going down, if you said, you know what, I’m looking for great places to short. Um, actually it’s the one below right here. This is the day before. mean, just shorts all over the place. If you wanted to be short, I was just waiting for it to reach a battle plan trade. I don’t have to be short. I’m happy if you are short. What do I care? Um, overnight, this is all the strong level play. I mean, just really, really, really nice.

25:28
And so, yeah, so that’s going to be the post I make for this afternoon. Um, it’s going to be how to plant, how to trade the battle plan trade and strong levels. That’s what I did last night. Um, thank goodness I’m in a monster trade. If I wasn’t in a trade right now, what would I be looking for? Well, first of all, let’s switch over here look at everybody else. Oh, everybody squeezed. Everybody squeezed. Nothing to do now, but the holding, but.

25:57
We know. Sorry, I need to drink some.

26:03
That there will be trades available during our th. We don’t know what they will be, but we know we will have one or two trades during our th. All we’ve done is we’ve come back to the strong level, back to the bull bear line, and we’re hanging out here at the strong range where we spent a lot of time yesterday. So the first thing would be, do we get a little pull back, pop back above this bull bear line? Is that going to be our long and go into all time highs?

26:31
This is where I would add to my tree. There’s battle plan number one. We’re waiting for it to set up. Now I do want to mention this battle plan right here. This worked out. This is the one I this worked out. Um, this one didn’t pull back enough here. Okay. It did. did. It squeezed. Just didn’t pull back enough. Didn’t really give you an entry there. Once again, if you were up, that’s the entry. That’s the entry ride.

27:00
Now we’re looking at battle plan trade number one for it to pop above, give us a long there. Your stop is going to be under the strong range. All right guys, I’ve talked a tremendous amount, made this probably way too long, but this video is going to accompany this post. I think it’s valuable. Thank you for being a member and I’ll see my traders live 15 minutes before the market opens.

Pull up a chair. I’m about to show you how I captured a 100-pointer — not with luck, but with a plan and a little patience. I used the Battle Plan and my Strong Levels like a road map. Step by step. Thought by thought. You’ll see where I waited, where I entered, and why. No magic. No mystery. Just a simple blueprint you can steal and use tomorrow.

Let me tell you something straight — this system didn’t fall out of the sky. It took a ton of time, testing, and real trading scars to build what I honestly believe is the best ES/MES Futures Trading System out there. It’s built for the trader who can sit on their hands and wait — the kind who knows patience pays. Every afternoon, the Battle Plan drops with the five best ES setups for the next 23 hours. All you’ve got to do is follow the blueprint… and let the market come to you.

Let’s get started…

DATE: Friday, October 18

I woke up around midnight to let my dog out — you can see the exact time in the upper-left corner of the TradingView charts below for context. Everything I written from this moment forward will be real time… It is midnight, so I am sure there will be typos and weirdly worded sentences – I beg your forgiveness now.

At this time, I’ve been stopped out of my “paid for” lotto runner long from the RTH session yesterday — no big deal. In the Battle Plan I wrote, “I wouldn’t be surprised if price swings back and takes me out of my runner at break-even — no big deal. There’s always another high-probability setup just around the corner.”

Naturally, I pulled up the chart to see where the next Battle Plan trade idea was setting up. It turned out to be Battle Plan (2️⃣). See the chart below.

Will it Bounce & Ladder?

THE KEY QUESTION:  Will it bounce at the Strong Level (the apex of the mapping) and LADDER back up??

For laddering to happen, price must first reclaim the Sunday Opening, exactly as outlined in last night’s Battle Plan mapping sequence. See the chart above.

The riskiest long entry sits at the 6620 Strong Level — so be cautious and keep a small “paper cut” stop just a few points away. If you take this trade near the apex of the mapping, treat it purely as a “test entry”: Small Size, Small Stop.

NOTE: The mapping provided in each Battle Plan shows where I believe price is most likely to bounce. Let me repeat — taking entries right at the apex of that mapping is the riskiest approach. If you stick around long enough, you’ll see this entry often offer high probability but high-risk opportunities. Therefore, the rule is simple: small size, small stop.
The safer trade is to wait for the laddering.

If you take the apex entry (long at the 6620 Strong Level) then price reclaims the Sunday Opening at 6632, you can consider adding to the position… or wait for a stronger confirmation by reclaiming the Bull-Bear Line at 6676 before scaling in further. See the chart above.

ENTRY #1: I front-ran the 6620 Strong Level by one point, entering long at 6621 with a tight 3-point stop at 6618. A precise, controlled entry… the kind that keeps risk small. See the chart below.

ES MES Micros Futures Live Trading Room

Small Size. Small Stop.

Price did indeed bounce — and bounced nicely. I’m up 10 points and price is challenging the Sunday Opening price. Will be break through or bounce back down?

At this stage, you can’t let this turn into a losing trade. You’ve got a few smart options:

1. Take your 10 points and call it done. Take tomorrow off. A GREAT option!

2. Move stop to capture 50% of the move. Smart because this trade was “counter”.

3. Move stop to breakeven… hoping to get the “big move”.

I went with option 3 – greedy bastard!

Well, price took my stop at break even. Welcome to trading. It was a great entry with a tight stop. At one point, I was up 10 points – can’t complain! I am very pleased with the Battle Plan mapping and trade execution. A+ in mapping and execution. This is an easy trade to journal (you do journal, right?).

I believe… If a trader can look for the right trades in the right locations often enough, you will do very well. That is the entire purpose of the Battle Plan. The Battle Plan answers “Where should i long? Where should I short?” It works very very well –  we prove that every week!

What do you do after this stop?

Like Tom Hanks said in A League of Their Own — “There’s no crying in baseball.” So first, no crying. Take a breath, get over it, and move on. Another high-probability setup is just around the corner — stay disciplined, stay ready, and the monster squeeze is getting close!

What do you?? You WAIT.

If “rubbing is racing” from Days of Thunder, then waiting is trading. The mark of a true professional who knows patience is the real edge.

So… you wait for Battle Plan (2️⃣) to ladder above the Sunday opening (or reclaim the 6620 Strong Level for a more aggressive entry) or wait for Battle Plan (3️⃣) (further down the chart) to develop.

Battle Plan (3️⃣) is my preferred trade anyway. It is in GREEN,

When we squeeze (and we will), I’ve got a 100 – 200 pointer on my hands. I’ve got to keep my powder dry and WAIT.

Like my mama used to tell me, “Hold your horses”.

Hold. Hold. Hold.

LONDON OPENING: I couldn’t go back to bed with the London opening. Boy, I am going to pay for this in the morning.

Chart right now (see below)…What happens at the Strong Range? I DO expect an initial bounce. But that is not part of the Battle Plan. We want lower and then RECLAIM the Strong Range.

London Opening

Indeed… a small bounce. Look at price ping-pong off the Strong Levels. Very cool.

Strong Range Bounce

▶️ Indeed — just a small bounce. I’m not trading that, but it’s nice to see. It confirms that the level is drawn accurately and can serve as a laddering point for a re-entry or add-on later. 💡💡💡

Get down there! Yes, this is in REAL TIME… Time stamps don’t lie. Oh, my body is going to pay for this late-night trading.

ES MES Micros Futures Live Trading Room

Battle Plan (3️⃣)

IF… that is a BIG IF…. Battle Plan (3️⃣) is the turnaround short squeeze, great. If not, we will wait for Battle Plan (4️⃣)  & (5️⃣). If you trade our system, you WILL learn to be patient and force price to come to you… instead of you forcing trades!

WAITING:

“It was never my thinking that made the big money for me. It was always my sitting.” — Jesse Livermore, as quoted in *Reminiscences of a Stock Operator*

Price made it further down.

Now… can we reclaim this Strong Range per the mapping? I am staying strictly according to the outlined Battle Plan from last night.

Not Laddering Yet! Stand Down! No trade. Now we wait for reclaim OR Battle Plan (4️⃣). See the chart below.

At this point, how happy are you that you took the 10 pointer above, or half the move, or a break even? You can’t let a trade go from green to red IMHO!

Orders Lined Up

Let’s take a look at the Battle Plan (3️⃣)  and (4️⃣). See the chart below.

Battle Plan (3️⃣) (4️⃣)

We continue waiting… Nothing to do but wait. Let’s keep going down to Battle Plan (4️⃣) (5️⃣)  – the bigger the down move, the bigger the squeeze.

You never have to be the first one long or short. There’s plenty of meat left on the bone in the second and even third ladder entries…  patience often pays better than being in EARLY.

My thoughts here: “The Strong Range is being strong – and it IS part of Battle Plan (4️⃣). This might be the bottom. Waiting for a powerful reclaim of the Strong Range coupled with a Core Strategy bounce level.”

Here is the mapping I envision – once again, look at the timestamp if needed.

Possible Pathing

Update… Got it! – Strong Level reclaim & a Core Strategy Level… AND… I consider this the 2nd ladder. I love how price took the low by a tick or two and then ran back up “with a vengeance,” leaving a sting of FVG’ing candles and LADDERING. Now I can enter with some assurance – this makes trading nearly stress free.

I AM LONG. See Chart Below… Stops are in place, ensuring a green trade.

Strong Level Reclaim LONG… With Take Profits/Stops

3:50 AM CST: Now, its time to go back to bed AND let price do its thing! Squeeze baby squeeze!

5:59 AM CST: Dang, I slept hard! I am very pleased with the follow-through. Two “take profits” were filled. Two contracts remain long. Micros pay!

KEY IDEA:

You know… one of the foundational truths of trading success is this: you don’t need to know what will happen. You don’t need a crystal ball, and you don’t have to make predictions. What truly matters is knowing what to do when it happens.

The rest is simply waiting — PAYtiently — for it to unfold. That’s the entire purpose of the Battle Plan: it gives me a clear roadmap of where I want to engage with price if price gets there.

There NOTHING to do BUT HOLD a RUNNER. I moved one stop to 50% of the move and kept the “lotto runner” at entry. Let’s go!

Squeeze It!

And there we go! How many of those do you need in a week?

STRONG LEVELS: Each Sunday I publish the “Strong Levels” – I didn’t know what else to call them.

These levels are the most important levels for the week – in my humble opinion. It is a Tradingview indicators included in your membership – even traders on a 7-Day Trial get it. Just send me a private message to get access.

We use Strong Levels to help craft our entries and exits.

Strong Levels give the price action additional structure.

Let’s just look at the Strong Levels for tonight’s trading. See the chart below. How well did price bounce?

100 Pointer

UPDATE: Friday at 2PM: Well, I made a critical error.

On Zoom/YouTube Live, I placed a stop to capture 100 points and a stop to capture 60 points for the 2nd contract. I was FINE with the price giving me a 100-pointer or a 60-pointer. It took the 100 pointer, cool. BUT, I FAILED to remove the 60-point order!

When price pulled back, it took out my LOTTO runner at 60 points! I am so disappointed! Sure, it’s nice to capture a 60-pointer and 100-pointer in the same day AND go into the weekend FLAT…  but with 125 cushion by the end-of-the-day, I would have kept my lotto runner 5 points under the RTH and rolled the dice. Being up at midnight drained my battery.

Oh well, as we say… let’s say it together… “There is another high-probability trade around the corner!”.

Video: How To Trade The Battle Plan

Each evening, I scan the ES chart and ask one primary question:

Where are the bulls and bears positioned?

"Great bears know where the bulls are.
Great bulls know where the bears are."

The arrows you see highlight those pressure points...zones where reactions in price are most likely.

Careful consideration is given to trend, range structure, liquidity pools, and our Strong Levels — a custom TradingView indicator available to paid Battle Plan or full Micros Trader members.

Most arrows lean toward the buy side. That's no coincidence as the ES is a long-biased instrument over time.

How you choose to trade these zones is entirely up to you:

Entry:

  • Our Core Strategy: Low-time frame bounce levels.
  • Level Reclaim: Market order with proper stop loss under low.
  • Your own preferred method: Just use the arrows as a price map and trade on your own confirmation.
  • Paper Trade til confident.
  • Set Alerts on TradingView as ES/MES trades 23 hours a day. Entries may occur at any time.

Instrument:

  • Futures — My primary instrument as our group trades ES/MES futures as scalps and multi-day holds.
  • Option spreads

Nothing on this page is a trade recommendation.
I am not a financial advisor.
