A Recap of Today’s Price Action & Setups:

Two Battle Plans… Two Great Entries!

Asia Session: Battle Plan (2️⃣) worked well for those who took it. It outlined perfectly. Just a reminder… be sure to read the notes on all trade ideas. See the first chart below. 

My Entry: Around 8:30PM CST…. I went long 3 contracts at 6731. Took 1 contract off at 10 points. Then we got another push-up on some news. I moved the stop on the second contract to capture 10 points on any pullback. I placed the stop loss on the lotto runner at -5 points. This ensures a 15-point trade. 10 points + 10 points – 5 points = 15 points. 

Now… let it work! Maybe we can break back inside the range and run. 

9:06 PM CST: Time for bed. 

4:45 AM CST: 2nd contract taken out overnight for 10 points. So far, 20 points captured. Lotto runner remains 5 points behind the point of entry.  Nothing to do but hold the runner. This lotto runner was taken out in the London Session. No big deal, we wait for a new entry!

Battle Plan (2️⃣) Long

AM TRADING: Nothing easy. Price was ‘just not ready’ to stay inside the range. It kept rejecting, but the bulls kept coming back! They eventually won. We called a speculative short near the Strong Level/Range for a quick profit. I took a long off the opening which was a beautiful touch and go. I took 10 points profit on this trade. 

Battle Plan (1️⃣) was the focus of our AM Trading. This trade idea was based on price recapturing the range and laddering above – we love trading range rules – laddering back to the TOP of the RANGE and perhaps… maybe.. breaking out to ATH leading the way to 6830. We shall see. 

The entry was not til around NY Lunch. Although I tried multiple times in the AM to be long, price was just not ready!.Eventually ES gapped over the 6760 Strong Level nicely with a crisp, clear, clean entry long! The best gap over was 11:50AM EST. 

I took a long at 6761 and added one contract on that up move. I eventually trailed out of the add-on, locking in profits, while keeping a lotto runner to see how far the move could go.
