BULL BEAR LINE SHORT

Today’s Review & Lessons:

OVERVIEW:  Yesterday I wrote “Bulls control – no question about it. Thus, we give them the benefit of the doubt.” Although we gave them the benefit of the doubt, the only trade we called was Battle Plan (3️⃣) short. 

OVERNIGHT: Nothing of interest developed. 

RTH AM: Exceedingly slow price action today. ATR was sub 4.0 often!

We watched for Battle Plan (1️⃣) and (2️⃣), but neither developed into a trading opportunity. 

Then we waited patiently for Battle Plan (2️⃣) to materialize, and finally Battle Plan (3️⃣) activated… turning into a delightful entry for those who took it. 

Most traders captured their 10-points per contract and called it a day. Congrats!

If you did the 3-Contract system with a financed runner a point or so behind your entry – the most assured way to survive a “double tap” – you were looking good for a while. The “WATCH OUT BELOW” Strong Range was too ‘strong’ PLUS NVDA chip news took out your runner. 

At 11:45AM CST I wrote, “If you survived a double tap, I think you could bring your stop to 56ish… and walk away.” The lotto runner only made a few points. The trade is over. Take a break. Reset. Map out your next entry… OR… take the rest of the day off! Congrats – great trading.

TRADE IDEAS EXPLAINED

(1️⃣) Not the most exciting setup. I need a strong FVG candle that closes above the Bull Bear Strong Level, then retests it. Price knocked on the Bull Bear Strong Level several times already, is it ready to break it???? (Really, I want a lower entry point before committing long).

(2️⃣) Classic “Trap The Trader” long off the RTH low or the set of lows just under the Strong Range. Price doesn’t need to take the RTH low for this to be valid… use the reclaim of the Strong Range to help with entry. I prefer Battle Plan 4️⃣.

(3️⃣) Possible short idea…  once again, this is a tricky area. If you take the short, hold a runner and maybe, just maybe, we can get below the “Watch Out Below” Strong Range. We could easily target the 6810ish area. That would make a nice 50-pointer.

(4️⃣) Preferred Trade: There’s a series of lows at the bottom of this range. Flushing any of them with a ladder back works… make sure they’re on your chart. I’d watch for a snappy ladder back off any of these, but I prefer it as drawn. Trade what happens, not what you want to happen. Battle Plan 4️⃣ as mapped would be ideal and wouldn’t surprise me.

Session Lows

(5️⃣) “Expected Range” long…  plus, this is the top of another range we’ll discuss if price gets down there. I wouldn’t be surprised if we reach that level early this week. We’ll see. Lots of ladder possibility here. Take your pick.
